Stars是一支来自加拿大的独立乐团。最初乐团由主唱Torquil Campbell，键盘手Chris Seligman成立于多伦多。后来乐团迁往纽约，随后又迁往蒙特利尔。乐团的成员还有，吉他手Amy Millan和贝斯手Ecan Cranley，鼓手Pat McGee，小提琴手Genevieve Walker。另外，吉他手Genevieve Walker也参与了乐团巡回演出。乐队的突破性单曲是来自他们04年专辑《Set Youtself on Fire》的”Ageless Beauty”。在04年十月向加拿大小范围发行后，《Set Yourself on Fire》于05年三月在美国发行，获得了强烈反响和很高的评价。Millan和Cranley也是独立乐队Broken Social Scene的队员。Millan在07年以个人身份发行了名为《Honey From the Tombs》的专辑。Campbell也成立了Memphis乐队，并于07年发行了他们的第二张专辑。07的9月25日，加拿大独立名厂Arts & Crafts 将发行他们的第四张正式专辑In Our Bedroom After The War。新专辑在Vancouver的Warehouse Studio录制， 由Joe Chiccarelli (Morrissey, The Shins, The White Stripes)负责混音。有人说，仿佛一个多年未见的表哥，一天他在你外出时归家，而当你回到家门口，面对一个熟悉又陌生的人：熟悉的面孔，多年的经历铸就的不同的表情，感觉，内心……

stars主唱Amy Millan的声音很干净，富有层次感，有些象红莓乐团的主唱，只是少了假音的修饰。虽说是独立专辑，但制作的水准似乎已经超越了独立。除了丰富的radio mix的应用，以及大量和声的重叠。
